Your book is very timely with all the debate about the best (or legal) way to charge for your medical billing services. Despite owning a medical billing business for over 18 years, I still wrestle with charging our doctors on a percentage basis (which is how most of our accounts are set up) VS a fixed monthly fee. You make a compelling case for choosing the latter. Pricing Your Medical Billing Service is a great resource for a new billing service or anyone who is struggling between the different billing options, especially those who have clients in the states that you mention who do not allow percentage billing.

Just read Pricing Your Medical Billing Service – Great job loved it! This book is a great help for both the established medical billing service, and those just getting into the business. We can really relate to your experiences with patient billing copay misunderstandings, and some of the stories and antidotes really hit home! For example, when we started out – being to cheap and attracting cheap providers and not having the confidence to charge our worth. Also the story on patient billing and charging on CoPays – we lost a client over this issue also. We’ve had a few submissions to the website asking for advice on pricing, so we look forward to adding to our book page. Again great job!
